Sniper Rifle - Tutorial Full Process

Tutorial Overview: Modeling, Unwrapping, Texturing, and Rendering a Sniper Rifle

Duration: +14 Hours

Tutorial Contents:

Modeling: +8 hours dedicated to the modeling process in 3ds Max. The tutorial ensures clarity, making it easy for viewers to follow the modeling steps seamlessly. Start by creating a proxy mesh of the sniper rifle, then proceed to create a more detailed model. Emphasis is placed on attending to details, and the model is created in high poly form to capture sufficient detail.

Unwrapping & Texturing: +4 hours of unwrapping in Rizom UV and texturing in Substance Painter. Utilize the udims workflow for unwrapping, efficiently creating udims tiles in Rizom. In Substance Painter, the texturing process begins by creating a color ID for organization, followed by setting proper materials for each part. Add details and decals to enhance the texture.

Rendering: In the rendering phase, choose the real-time render engine Marmoset Toolbag. Import the model and textures, create materials with textures, and set up lights and camera for the final presentation.
